What is Podcasting ......????

Of course, before i take you through the world of podcasting, we want to know what podcasting is, explore some terms of podcasting and weigh the merits and demerits of podcasting.
Podcasting is  the process of using audio files(as of music or talk) made available in digital format for automatic download over the Internet.
In the process of podcasting, you create portable  audio files that are available on your website, which people can then download to their usually portable devices such as  iPods or MP3 players and listen to. Podcasts are delivered through RSS (Rich Site Summary) feeds; Subscribers to various podcasts sites checked regularly for updates – similar to blogs.
Podcasts are constantly being updated to help podcast subscribers or fans find and sort through the  available number of podcasts.
